Questions people ask
- How does Propertova read my documents?
- When you upload a lease, a bill or a payment and press Read document, Propertova sends the file to a document-reading service (Anthropic's Claude) with instructions to pull out the dates, amounts and terms. What comes back is a draft: it lands on a review screen beside the page it came from, and nothing enters your books until you approve it. Every total, recovery and statement is then calculated by Propertova's own code, never by the reading service. Files are stored privately in Canada, links to them expire in minutes, and the service is set so your documents are not used to train anything. The privacy policy says the same in full.
- Does Propertova collect rent or deal with tenants?
- Not yet. You stay the property manager: you collect the rent, talk to your tenants and decide what goes out. Propertova keeps the books, matches the payments you upload to the right tenant and month, flags what is late, and drafts reminders and notices for you to send yourself. Nothing is sent to a tenant by Propertova.
